Songs From Northern Britain - Sat 18 May

It’s a lovely little festival.

Unfortunately my son is right in the middle of final exams so can’t spare the time, but I’ll be there.

Looking forward to some varied music, good conversation and no doubt discovering a new gem of an act (or several).

Reminds me I need to get our tickets sorted. It's always a brilliant varied day of music. Bull are great and loads of new music to discover

I take it that's Duncan Lloyd of Maximo fame?

Looks a good day, enjoy all
Indeed it is. We had him support Hotline TNT in the Toon last Nov and he (and band) were superb. Band is half of Maximo too. He was brilliant. We had an early offer in for him to play Twisterella too but sadly that clashed with the forthcoming Maximo tour.

Quite looking forward to seeing Twayn again. Not my usual cup of tea but they were quite delightful at Stockton Calling.

Looking forward to seeing Bull again. It's been a while, so I'm interested to see how they have progressed.

Was a really good day. Sad to leave before Bull as my friend wanted to be back in Redcar for boxing. As it was we could have tayed to the end and still made it back for the prefight bulls###.

Chat, Day Sleeper and Irked were my favourites of the day plus a special shout out to the Geordie Poet Cooper Robson. Great and totally unextected set.

Great day, great variety, good conversations.

Daysleeper were a proper discovery for me, but most of the acts were good and no one was poor.

The only disappointment is the audience numbers. If we don't support grassroots live music we will soon not have any and no-one coming through.

Agree about the audience numbers. One thing I did notice is how few younger people were there. Most of audience were middle age upwards.
