South Gare

Just here right now and have been camping in the dunes and near the lighthouse, plus sleeping in my car a few times. (Might be again this week) shocking to see the destruction of the works here. Like a land that time forgot now. I never worked here, but I used to love the smell and used to take in the amazing sights at night.

If you are ever here at night, the ships at stupid am are amazing.
I've still never been there.

I suppose that, before I shift off this mortal coil I should head up there.

Been going there since I was a kid. Used to take the kids regularly on the beach up until last summer but stopped due to the amount of discarded dog poo bags you had to navigate past on the steps to get to the beach. Absolutely disgraceful the sheer amount there was.
I mentioned the dog **** bags to the police and he said, it is because it is private land and no waste bins. They can still take them away themselves....

I have just been talking to 2 guys who have fisherman's huts. You can buy them for about 5k. One was saying he lived in his for 6 months. An option I hadn't thought about before. Can get them for less but would need a rebuild. I can do that
no insulation, water from the toilet block, no electricity.... be a bit grim living there

I wouldn't envisage it being comfortable living there but you could make it a comfortable bolt hole. You could soon insulate the cabin and get a generator or solar panel to run your electricity and the majority of them have stoves for heating. Getting water would be no different to being in a camper van - You would buy your drinking water and get washing up water from the toilet block. That's no different from being on a campsite.

Edit: I am sure the cafe would allow you to get water from them.

Living on a camp site for 6 months would also be grim.
