Sporting events being cancelled

New Forest marathon going ahead,apparently they have been in touch with the palace and were told it was okay to continue on Sunday.
They have asked those taking part to wear black,or at least a black arm band as a sign of respect.
 
It seems alongside the cancelling as a mark of respect the other issue seems to be having enough people to police certain events as officers are being reallocated. I would expect smaller events may well go ahead but others not. Let’s wait and see hopefully we will know more today.
 
Due to drive down to Surrey later today to go watch the golf at Wentworth this weekend - sat with bated breathe on the announcement after they have postponed today.
