Anyone watched the game show? I thought it would be a bit cringe but it's really well done, lot of twists and big characters and the winner was a total outsider. There are alliances formed and broken, backstabbing, strategising... secret and public tasks between games that lead to rewards or eliminations.

Two teesiders in the original 450 odd contestants. Games based on the tv show but some twists in them to keep it fresh. Prize money is 4.56m cash

One of the teesiders was Julie who runs the last post in Thornaby. The other is minor local TikTok star Massive Asif who can be a bit grating hut I enjoy his humour.

10 eps, good watch

Enjoyed all of it but thought the final game was a bit boring.

I've seen a few of the main contestants on tiktok talking about how much editing went into the show, especially the red light green light game, and the bridge.

I really enjoyed it as well.
Funny that one one of the Teessiders got in the altercation with the big bully boy.

Very Enjoyable nearly turned it off after the first 20 mins though as the first episode is very cheesy/American with very little "action" and lots of sob stories etc, like watching that xfactor bollox! Glad I preserved though

I think the final game has to be fairly straightforward as although there is a lot of talk of strategy etc, there's 3 outcomes so it doesn't give any physical advantages to young/fit people or gender gap advantages and every participant has a fair crack of the whip, but also each participant has multiple chances.

Yeah I'd have to expect a lot of editing. Even in the gazette that Julie mentioned thst when they were frozen in red light green light, it was about 40-50 minutes for filming. Also the phone rang 4 times but we only see asif answer it twice.

I tried to watch it and thought it looked grim turned it off after 10 minutes, my daughter said stick with it as its very good and I must say it is very well done and its the stories, the backstabbing, the alpha people and the psychological stuff going on makes it fantastic viewing but yes the last episode is a bit of a let down

Yes it was one of those that exceeded expectations. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

There had to be editing in the semi final - the first person up could have spoilt the suspense

Friend of mine did the Squid Game experience in Manchester last week - said it was brill

SPOILER If You are yet to see it

Also ended with the baddie (of the two) winning

You can put that in a spoiler tag and it will hide it

Was she a baddie? They all turned on her because she turned on the snake who refused to follow the strategy on the bridge. That was the real baddie

I agree with this, but from what I've read there was confusion as to if that plan had been accepted although editing seemed to make it look that way

I think they were seen as the baddie because they previously slated TJ but then TJ picked her and she went totally lovebomb on him, and then she didn't follow the 019's plan to pick all the girls to ensure every female got into the next round

Proper annoyed me that plan to pick all the women, from that point onwards I wanted the scouse lass to be eliminated.
