Anyone have any side effects? I went on them last week, feeling terrible, temperature and belching, going to come back off them if these are the side effects
Just wondering if others have experienced similar issues?

Prescribed Atorvastatin and only been on it just over a week. No side effects yet thankfully. Also got put on BP medication. Only take the 2 tablets a day. I’m not overweight, exercise regularly and dont have a bad diet but have the occasional blowout! 🤷‍♀️Think it’s just a consequence of the inevitable slide towards natural decrepitude. 🙁

Thats the ones I take. No side effects at all that I am aware of.

Yeah same ones but boy not good, need to see if I can change to something different.
Family cholesterol issues for me

Minimum dose of atorvastatin due to family history for around a year now, no side effects whatever as far as I am awsre

No big issues for me. Was put on simvastatina around a year ago. As a precaution due to heart problems.

I've been on them for a year or so. I was diagnosed as pre diadetic and high cholesterol. I've brought both down and no longer an issue. I lost a few pounds and reduced the amount of cr*p I ate.

They still advised that I stayed on the statins. I asked 'for how long?' they said 'life'. Just as a precaution.

So I'm now shelling out every 2 months. I swear I'm the only person who actually pays for prescriptions in the chemist 😂.

I've never had any side effects. I am on a very low dose. Although every time I get a repeat prescription it's a different brand / make.

You can get a certificate from NHS. Cost £11 a month for 10 months

I went for a 'well man' health check, came out with an 11% risk of having a heart attack, maInly due to high cholesterol.....
Anything under 10% I would have got away with....anyone else had a similar check?

Yes , similar.
I'm trying to reduce my cholesterol by improving my diet before jumping on to statins.

I think it varies from doc to doc if they put you on them. I was told I didn't need them 5 years ago. Recently gone on them as a precaution and got quoted the % risk of a heart attck in the future.

TBH - I've noticed a few odd aches and pains so I'm going to keep an eye on it and mention to the doctor.

I had my BP measured in the surgery and he asked me to monitor at home for a couple of weeks but no meds needed there.
