Although part of me misses the games against them, I'd also be happy to see them rot in League One for years to come. Their fans belittled us for years, referring to us the 'Tranmere of the North-East'.
Even when I look on their board now it seems their fans still have this weird superiority complex. Laughing at other clubs they perceive to be smaller than theirs. They're utterly deluded.

Yes I’ve seen this as well they demean sides like Wycombe even though they are in a league above them. It seems that tv show has some how given them this weird sense of being in the big time.

In my lifetime & I'm 60
They beaten us once in a cup compatition, we've done far, far better than they could hope to do in Europe, even their time in Europe resulted in 4 games
They've won one major honour, like us, though we've won the ASC
They've won the 2bd division, now 1st division probably the same anoint of times, probably the same amount of money on big name transfers, no they have nothing to make them believe they're superior to us, nothing

Even today there's a thread on there talking about Warnock criticising Stoke's dressing room, and one of their fans commented "Stoke
".That would be the same Stoke who are currently in the division above them but of course their fans laughing at them can be justified. I bet Stoke fans wish they could support a giant club like Sunderland.

They have more delusions of grandeur than the horse punchers. They have zero class and zero self awareness. I too would be happy for them to rot in league one, but I would be ecstatic if they plunged out of the league and out of existence.
