Stupidest thing you've ever seen someone do.

Went to Charlton many years ago now, we stood in a chippy close to the ground and watched a lad put his hand on the 'Hot do not touch' unit with the fish in keeping warm. He shook his hand to cool it down as I looked at him and shook my head and said 'soft lad'

Seen a lad stamp a flare out on his head that came in an industrial sized fishbowl in a bar in Marmaris, he’s my best mate 🤣

....watching some fans jump the railway barrier outside the Navi to save 90 seconds on their walk to/from the stadium...

When I was a young lad around about the time you move from football to underage drinking, there was about 8 or 9 of us walking down a street when one of the group decided to punch the window of the local shop.
It was a single pane window and his hand went right through, the glass slit his arm and knicked an artery. He had to rush to hospital for surgery. Police found out in no time who it was and the lad got charged as well having to pay for the window.

Around about the same time another lad stole some detonator type items from his workplace. Literally seconds after showing me what it was it blew in his hand and blasted his gloves apart similar to what you see in cartoons. Apparently he still hasn’t regained feeling in a couple of fingers.

I definitely did this as a kid at the avenue chippy in Nunthorpe 😂

I saw a woman sat in a car light a cigarette while her hubby was filling the car with petrol

I saw the seconds later aftermath of a lad who decided to put his head in a Harrier Jet, nose undercarriage bay, with 3000psi hydraulic pressure behind the doors. He knocked the microswitch with his shoulder which told the aircraft system to close the doors. The top of his head was just about clean off before the supervisor saw him and pulled the ground release handle . This then blew open the doors, which makes a fair bang!! This was when I looked over and saw him fall to the floor. I had to hold the top of his head on until the emergency services arrived. About 40 minutes. He survived luckily .
