Suella Braverman

We all know there were unique situations at those times. 2017 hadn't been a long time for the Tories. They had only very recently won a decent size majority in 2015. The country was largely satisfied wit what they were offering hence the large majority (and it being their first time in sole power because they spent the first 5 years in coalition). 2019 was a single issue election. People were sick of the Tories but they were more sick of there being no end to the Brexit debate and Labour just didn't present a credible solution.

You are probably right that the Tories will lose again but that would be true whatever platform they run on in 5 years time. It's not often a new government only gets a single term. It would have to be Labour shooting themselves in the foot repeatedly like the Tories have done in the last 5 years for there to be the need for a change.
This reads as if the bold bit is for 2017. If that’s how it’s meant to be read, the Tories didn’t win a large majority, or any majority, in 2017. They lost it altogether and ended up relying on DUP confidence and supply.

This won't be popular but a functioning democracy needs a viable opposition.

I have 2 issues with the way the tory parry seem to be going.

Firstly, they drive the opposition narrative in parliament and we don't really need more ultra right wing nonsense.

Secondly, a functioning, electable opposition keeps labour honest.

A functioning Labour Party in opposition couldn’t hold that cabal accountable as they just ignored them

Absolutely agree. What we need is some one a bit more professional and less bullshitty at the top of the Tory party. Someone a bit dull, to head off the reform mentalists and split the right, but not build enough enthusiasm for a proper run at power as long as Labour are delivering. We don’t want total Tory destruction because reform will fill the gap

BadEnoch seems to be favourite with tory MPs. She is just as barking mad fascist as Cruella, I think. She just manages to hide it a bit better. Would be hilarious if Cruella won though.
Totally agree with you on badenoch, absolute sociopath she is.
Proper lunatic and very dangerous woman
