With it looking increasingly likely we’re going to be in the championship again next season. What’s your business?
Silvera - Not good enough for the league for me. He tries but never looks dangerous. Two of the goals he’s scored - one came from one yard out when it was easier to miss and the other hit his back…
Coulson - Won’t get any better than he currently is.
Engel - Had a few decent games but largely a liability. Shame cause he seems like a good fella, but don’t think he’s good enough for us.
Dijksteel - Crocked isn’t he? I like him, but he hardly ever plays and when he does he hasn’t exactly pulled up any trees.
McNair - Great servant for us but obviously won’t want to sign a new contract on reduced terms. Don’t see where he would fit in to a Carrick side.
Barlaser - Looks fantastic when we’re dominating and all he has to do is pass it around. Can’t run, can’t tackle, can’t shoot and is so slow it’s painful.
Smith - I like Tommy, but let’s face it. If we want to push on he’s not at the level we need.
Howson - Pains me to say it but I think his time with us is up. His errors are getting more frequent and more costly, can’t really progress if we’re relying on a 36 year old in the middle of the park.
McGree - I think we should cash in. He’s a decent player, but he’ll have 12 months on his contract left come the summer and I wouldn’t risk losing him on a free if we can get a fee for him and reinvest.
Coburn - I’d loan him out, I still think there’s a natural goal scorer in there. He’s been hampered by injuries this season and asked to pay through the pain. Hasn’t looked great as a result, but before that he was some prospect.
