Sunderland attendance

Looks like it won’t be far off a sell out according to the website. Still plenty left but a good performance and a win this weekend then maybe it could be a full house

It would sell out if we win the next 2 I imagine however Monday night and on sky will knock a few season ticket holders who don't live in boro off

We haven't played Sunderland for a while, which might boost the crowd a little.

I am expecting very close to a sell out.

There’s over 7000 seats available to purchase - it’s only Sunderland, hardly a big draw, and given that those w@kners will stand there and sing songs about pedophiles for ninety minutes at us I’d say quite a few will think no thanks

I'm surprised how long it took Sunderland to sell out their allocation for it.

Not a dig, but whether they see it as a rivalry or not, this is by far their nearest fixture of the season and it took a week to sell out their allocation.

I can only assume it's because their priority point system seems to be much more rigidly organised than ours:

You get 1 Black Cat Point per away/cup match, and you don't get any for just having a season ticket, also no reset on the points total.

So it was on sale for 3 days solely to people who've been to 60 away/cup matches since it was introduced.
The scheme has been going on for years, so it's probably a bigger pool of fans than it seems, but it definitely rewards away attendees more significantly than our scheme.

Approx 4,400 seats to home fans left to purchase on the MFC website, but family sections are not on the website and a few other blocks are not.

My guess is there are around 6,000 seats left to sell with 11 days to go.

I'm a bit torn. On one hand, if it's less than a 30k crowd at least it will dispel the myth that we see them as our cup final. At the same time though, having a crowd of 30k+ should mean that it will be an electric atmosphere.

They were kicking off yesterday because they think the club gave a load of tickets to the branches.

Come on girls, it's only Boro.

I'm surprised they soldout... I mean they don't care. I'll give it a week and they will be on here talking about how it's not a derby and they 'don't care' 😂

Expect loads of new board members claiming to need help buying a ticket for some spurious reason.

I wonder if Boro have put checks in like for the Derby game last season?

On a related note, anybody know why certain blocks are not available. For example block 83. I sit in block 86 and theres only a handful of people ever there but they never sell matchday tickets for that block

I bought a ticket for a friend and it has my name clearly printed on it, so they know I bought it.....

Just another mystery surrounding tickets at MFC. They defy logic at times.
