Lets face it this Half baked MI hotel idea in the UK will fail. Either you do it properly which means everybody has to do it or don't bother. It is ludicrous you have so many exemptions and a list of just 22 countries this applies to. The more I read about this the more it seems like a token gesture so that in a years time it can be said the government acted.

if you arrive from South Africa via Dublin you have to quarantine but in the mean time everyone else on the flight into the country are out and travelling wherever and however they wish.

Probably not worth the effort in this current guise.
