Tablet recommendations for around £150?

I'm looking to get my Wife a tablet for Christmas.

Will be used to play puzzle games and do social media/ shop online.

Any recommendations on the best tablet to get her?

The only thing I had against the Amazon HD10 I had a few years back for study on the go was the weight and chunkiness - it was fairly heavy when compared to some of the Samsung / Apple variants

Yeah I had no complaints either, much better than paying £800 on an iPad

My Samsung tab A must be faulty because its absolutely useless. Unresponsive screen, won't auto update, Screen display is poor.

No need to pay £800 for an ipad when the latest model starts at £319 for 10" version.

It must be faulty. Samsung have been making tablets longer than anyone else (yes including apple) so they know the game.
And their screens are superb.

Plus your recommendation is still double the budget
