Anyone still watch this?

Love the show and always find myself watching the old episodes on Dave and E4xtra but just cant get into the new series ..

Is it just me or are the contestants becoming less and less 'household' names as the series' go on?

You might aswell have people doing the local comedy clubs circuit on it as I haven't a scooby doo who 3 of the 5 people are in the latest series

To be fair I didnt have a clue who the likes of Bridget Christie, Sophie Duker, Fern Brady and Rose Matafeo were but found them funny on the show

Thought the choices of celebs has been good this series. Only one I did not know.
It's been pretty funny so far as well.
 
Are there many household names left who could appear on the show, youre not going to get Peter Kay are you?

Ade Edmondson, Ben Elton, Jennifer Saunders, Ross Noble, Lee Evans, John Bishop, Jimmy Carr maybe?
 
I'm pretty sure Jennifer Saunders and Ross Noble have done it?

Also, I'm no comedian aficionado but I've heard of Bridget Christie, Sophie Duker, Fern Brady and Rose Matafeo I think they've all been on QI and other telly stuff.

I get what you’re saying but 15 series and a few specials in they can’t be many left. The current line up is who you make of them:
Frankie Boyle is, I’d say, household.
Jenny has pretty much been around since I can remember
Kiell is in the quite popular Ghosts
Ivo is a bit cult, I’d say. Saw him the other week in a small sold out crowd in Darlo. Brilliant.
Mae is on an upwards trajectory.

Pretty much an standard cast set up though I’d say.

I don’t either have done it. Noble would be fantastic though.

Ed Byrne maybe or Milton Jones possible future contestants?

Its how the contestants react to the tasks bounce off/argue with the TM that makes the show

I guess if you track back through Live at the Apollo and Mock the Week people you could find some more 'names off the tele'

I recognise 4 of the 5 this time, though I could only have named Frankie Boyle.

I think it's been better recently than it was in the midway period.
I actively disliked series 6 and 8.
 
I only got into it 2 series ago and since the last one finished, I started watching them from the beginning.

I’m not keen on the cast this series, I only really know Frankie, and I can see him getting a bit boring after a few episodes.

Love seeing people I’ve never heard of bring a smile to my face
As much as I love old favourites Jack Dee et al being prepared to humiliate themselves.
 
Before every season starts I always think “never heard of most of them”. But as much as it is giving household names a chance to be on tv, it’s also giving the more unknown (to me at least) comedians a chance to be on mainstream tv.

I had no idea who fern Brady was before task master but thought she was excellent on TM. But Bob Mortimers series was a very high point for the show.
