Hackney and Barlaser don't work together. If Howson is having a rest I'd rather we tried Agyemang or Sykes in that role.

Happy for us to make changes. It's a squad game.
 
The only real benefit of including squad players this week is as a "last chance saloon" before they're out the door on Friday, although a lot of that business might already be agreed.

I'd be tempted to play a strong team this evening, given recent performances. It's quite clear we haven't adapted to the new system yet so we need all the match practice we can get.

That said, it's a nothing game so may as well play the u23s :)

When did he blow his chance? His only game this season was away to Huddersfield wasn't it, I heard he did ok, worked hard at least by all accounts. He was also part of the only team that has won for us in about 6 months... it feels like that long anyway!
 
Whenever Crooks or McNair are in the team it's because something isn't going to plan. Whether that's through performance, injury or suspension, if we see one of them on the pitch, it's a cause for concern.

Don't interpret that as an outright criticism of either of them, btw - they've both got something to offer, but not necessarily what we want when all's hunky dory.

I would be happy enough with that but would play Coburn instead of Crooks and probably play Silvera / Rogers instead of McGree/Gilbert. I'd also play Payero if he is likely to stay.

Crooks cannot start up front when we have Forss, Gilbert and even Finch available.

McGree for Silvera for me but totally agree. I would of course be bringing on Silvera after 60 mins to run at tired defenders mind
