Team for Tuesday

Every team that comes to the Riverside will want to make a statement and will see a result against Boro as a reason to be optimistic, the players and clubshould use that as motivation for how will they have done to date and they should and am sure they do want to blow teams away by showing them just how good we really are!

We have to ensure as always that we do the basics right and the results and goals will keep coming, no team will want to go 1 nil down against us and they will also think the same should they go 1 nil up that is credit to our performances and should not go unnoticed that we are in teams heads.

The squad, tactics and subtitutes are going to be very important in the remaining 10 games, in Carrick and co we trust, keep doing what we are doing !
 
Same team for me.

I worry that sticking Barlaser in when he isn’t needed (i.e. Howson is still available) given he hasn’t had a lot of playing time since moving here it would take him the first half just to get back into the swing of if.

Stoke will be tough so think we need to stick with the winning team. Subs will play their part if needs be.
 
Stoke left space allover the pitch Hoever going that far forwards against us will get murdered in behind down the right. Fancy a comfortable 2-0 win.
 
I worry about stoke, 4 wins in 6 . a potential banana, hopefully we do it ....teamwise leave as is , but as soon as you fancy it get bodies on , think Dan for Jonny is poss only option ...but jonny is the pivot all goes around .... lads up front are flying
 
Play our strongest team at present.

An issue for me is what to do if Fry is available. Is it him or McNair

I'd like play Forss, but who would we rest.

If Crooks is available I would have him on the bench as an option.
 
Fry in for Mcnair.

Very sloppy marking for the first goal, if that happens against a better organised team, we might not have found a way back.

We cant afford to go behind against Stoke, they have beaten teams comfortably the last few weeks when they've been able to get ahead and hit teams on the break

Totally agree.
I just think we look a lot more solid defensively when Fry starts instead of McNair.
Keep it tight at the back and let the forwards do the business.
I do think Stoke will be a real test.
 
Most people on their forum think they will get somethign from the game as their recent form is excellent. A like this negative one though:

"Middlesborough are at home and judging by recent results are an excellent hot in form team with a potentially exceptional young Manager. And its likely to be a cold dismal Tuesday night on Teeside, and that's just the weather.
We're doomed."
 
Hope we come out storming and upsettle them wirh an early double blast. I think we bigging stoke up a little too much. Our lads are better team bu far and will have done homework on them after their last 2 decent results.
