I have thought about that but I don't think Watmore has the presence to lead the line. I'd go:

Bettinelli
Fisher Fry McNair Bola
Howson Saville Morsy
Mendez Kebano
Fletcher

I think NW might give Mendez the first half to get his sharpness just like he did Bolasie last game.

People posting teams without Bolasie starting obviously don't know our manager. This might be the lineup but Bolasie will start thru the middle before Fletcher.

Am I also right in thinking that aside from Tav (a miss but we've got cover) and Marcus Browne (has mainly been on the fringes) we have a fully fit squad to choose from? That's been a rarity for nearly two years

Must admit it surprised me to see Bolasie through the middle last week, although Warnock has been talking him up as a striker.

Fletcher's role will be interesting as well, reckon he will get a run at CF at some point but Warnock has used him on the wing before, admittedly when we weren't as stacked with good wingers.

It's incredibly exciting going into the second half of the season knowing we can afford to leave quality attacking players on the bench.

Bolaise did no worse than Britt or Akpom, this despite only being with the club for 5 minutes, and having not played for ages, and not normally a striker. I see Warnock picking him as a clear sign that he is unhappy with our other strikers.

None of our strikers have impressed me particularly. I am hoping that the new signings will make our strikers lives a little easier.

I think the point about Bolasie is that while he isn't a striker per se he is a better footballer than Britt or Chuba so potentially more likely to make things happen?

It's difficult to call, with 3 new attackers available and Fletcher closer to fitness, there are a lot of options. I also think Watmore has been held back since his covid experience.

Even though it's a tough game I would expect 1 of Kebano, Bolasie and Mendez-Laing to start. Kebano has only had one training session, so would expect him on the bench. Mendez-Laing hasn't been training professionally for 6 months so will probably be on the bench, so Bolasie will get the nod for me.

Don't think fletcher is ready to start yet if he was I'd start him over Britt but lets give Britt a chance now he has players who can give him service.
Mendez Laing from what I have read may need a couple of weeks to get up to speed.

Don’t see fletcher starting as he wasn’t considered fit enough for bench last match. Think he’s a good few weeks away yet.

I think as Bolasie showed last week that modern footballers keep themselves fit so even if they’re not match fit they can certainly make a contribution from the off.
