Tesla

Quite a few issues materialising with them. Huge fall in residual values also after they slashed new vehicle prices by 10%. Losing market share and tumbling share prices.
The new Elon Musk effect?

Far more of them sold these days, so like any other brand they have a number of failures, it's %s that's important. I remember a few years ago when 45%+ of Range Rovers needed to be returned back to factory for major repairs.

Not sure where you got that from, I bought mine 2 years ago and it costs more today than it did then

Losing market share
Was always going to happen when traditional manufacturers started to produce EVs in any numbers. The total number of EVs sold has increased and Tesla sell more now than any point in their history despite the 'market share drop'. They still sell 65% of EVs in the US and 45% here. Any manufacturer would love that market share.

Well you've answered the question about why the share prices have dropped.

You're onto a good thing if your car is worth more than you paid for it 2 years ago. Especially when a new one today would be 10% cheaper.

I think Musk himself admitted their shares were over valued.

I never quite understood it, unlike the mobile phone market prior to Apples monopoly, where there were very few players. The car industry is awash with highly efficient companies, where technology is no barrier, and once the novelty of Tesla fades, they will settle into a less dominant share of the market

Should always investigated why the indicators don’t work when turning or pulling over. Tesla are the new Audi drivers.
Can any Tesla owners confirm if this is true or not?
Saw a YouTube short last night (like a Tik Tok video they are about 2 mins long average) where someone poured a bucket of salt in a circle around a Tesla in a car park. Apparently then you can't drive the Tesla away??

Also yes @proctors_perm I've seen Elon day this directly at a press conference, he said people still buy them anyways 🤣

I think the main driver for the loss was before the price cut. It was removing parking sensors from their vehicles that started it.
They removed them and will turn them off on older vehicles. And replace them with "vision" which will use the cameras as parking sensors. In true tesla style though. They removed the sensors but can't get vision to work. So some cars have no sensors at all. They did the same thing with auto windscreen wipers and auto main beam.

That's cats...

Tesla are shyte, anything involving Musk is awful.
I would disagree I use PayPal a lot. Starling can bring the Web to places it can't usually get to. And Tesla have, probably the most efficient electric drive trains on the market. With one of the best charging curves (though hyundai/kia porche and now Mercedes have better) and by for the best charging network. But yes, the cars are poorly uilt and ill thought out

Musk had nothing to do with PayPal.

Tesla are overpriced junk.

Look at the mess he’s making of Twitter.

So your assertion that it’s losing price because of a price drop on new vehicles is wrong, it’s because of rising energy prices. Once energy prices settle the resale value will return to normal, which is high for Tesla’s.

Absolutely no comment on the losing market share and number of failures..so I’ve guess you’ve tacitly admitted you were wrong on those comments too.

Like shooting fish in a barrel this one

Does that include starlink? A couple of my mates who work offshore say it's a life saver. The scope of it is brilliant. Connecting the entire world to the internet.

The Starlink that’s going to go bankrupt without massive ongoing government subsidies?

Yeah, it’s genius 🙄

He was involved in PayPal.

And as for Tesla, can you expand on that. You use very emotive language but don’t seem to be able to back it up
