Make.no Mistake, Boro absolutely bossed that game from start to finish. Should have been three or four nil yet still we are left with only a point. Can’t quite put my finger on what’s wrong. That game went south as soon as McGree and Watmore weren’t leading the line and stoke put an extra man up front. However, Boro still should have done enough to have won.

I don't even think that it went south at any point to be honest, thought we were just as dominant even when they went off. We just look a bit flaky at the back at the moment, thankfully the goals seem to be coming now, I always think defence is the easiest thing to rectify.

I was really impressed with our performance tonight. We looked very good on the ball and passed it well. We were threatening down both flanks and Watmore and McGree had good games. I like the addition of Mowatt. The only thing that still slightly concerns me is the goalkeeper but hopefully he will come good soon.

How is the goalkeeper your only concern? We’ve just given away 2 points to a dreadful Stoke team. There is far more for us to worry about than Steffen.

Stoke had three chances and one half chance from Gayles hooked effort in the first half and they scored twice from the meagre amount of possession and chances they had, whilst us despite dominating still hardly worked their keeper. It’s the same old problem of putting the ball in the net when we’re on top. Having said that we look decidedly worse defensively this season, you might put some of that down to having two very attack minded wing backs now, but the absence of Fry and McNair at the back has made us far too exposed in there. These two have to start every game in there for me when they’re available as they are our two best defenders imo
