The Beatles

I was watching The Beatles at The BBC on Saturday night, which was ace, and it struck me how little footage of them playing live actually exists, which is a massive shame. Obviously there is loads of footage of them on Top of the Pops, but it said during the show that they only actually ever played live on it once in their whole career.

I was amused watching Ringo clearly bored out of his tree while miming mind. I never realised until I watched it how funny he was in interviews either.

Brilliant music but I just didn't like them as people.

All of them ? Lennon I understand but Paul is great !

In terms of their music, I'd never consciously put it on, but when I do hear a tune it always makes me happy, and their impact on what came after them simply can't be underestimated.

The real one is…Mal Evans, there from the beginning and knew where all the bodies were buried. His death was never really fully explained.
My friend started to write a play about him, he was in the business and knew a lot of people, which during the writing started to turn into a book.
When he started the research suddenly he was asked to go and have talks with the usual suspects…the mythology is closely guarded.
