Wonderful news. Birmingham relegated.
I think he's really enjoyed playing for us, but he is a Leeds player at heart and may wait to see if Farke is still there in a couple of weeks.Great reception for Ayling. He looks like he's loving life at the Boro. Hopefully we can do something in the summer. Wilder can keep his grubby hands off him.
That said Leeds may want him back as they are 'falling apart again'
Talking about next season as well. ."Things are close..." Encouraging words from Luke Ayling.
A left midfielder (winger) I thought Watfords was decent today, a defensive Midfielder, a right back (cover for Ayling)and another CF and I think we will blow the division away next season. So we finish 8th, 4 points off the playoffs.
If we hadn't had that horrendous crisis with injuries, I'm fairly confident we'd have made the Top 6, which given this is a "transitional" with most of the squad overhauled (as evidenced by our start to the season) it's another good campaign by Carrick considering
Should we keep most of this side (especially the key players) together for 24/25, I'm feeling optimistic about what we can achieve now that they can play much more as a unit.
That saving last minute tackle he did was amazing, great player int he makingGilbert was a joy to watch in the second half
Cheers Macc and to everybody else. It's a pleasure, and I'm looking forward to writing more in our automatic promotion season, starting in AugustA huge thank you roofie for the fantastic match day threads, absolutely outstanding, look fo everyone.
Hopefully you will carry on next season as we go on a promotion push.....
Absolutely agree, how this lad hasn’t played more games is baffling. He looked good in the pre-season games, perhaps it’s a confidence thing, but I hope we see much more of him next season.Gilbert was a joy to watch in the second half
I think it is more to do with him not playing at this level previously he only played for Brentford B and needed to learn the patterns of play etc and the manager mustn't of thought he was ready but he has shown recently that he has a lot to offer, some excellent passes today and the interception to stop a sure goal shows he is on board with his defensive duties too, let's hope he can push on for next yearAbsolutely agree, how this lad hasn’t played more games is baffling. The last two words are a givenPollock looks a lot like his dad but skinnier
Just watched the highlights. A bit petty given that we won pretty easily but their goal should not have stood.Stroud was his usual incompetent self. How is he allowed to officiate games is beyond me.
