*****It's nearly time! Something exciting is happening this weekend....our BEER FESTIVAL!*****

The Crown Jewels (A Very British Beer Festival) is taking place Friday 5th, Saturday 6th, Sunday 7th and Monday 8th May!

The Chapel, Whitehouse Street (near Newport Bridge) Middlesbrough

We are delighted to announce the starting 10 line up available on cask from Friday afternoon. As one finishes it will be replaced by another new beer (we have 30+ waiting in the cellar):
Half Moon Brewery “Offspring” Pale 4.1%
Alpha Delta Brewing “Roca” DDH Pale 4.2%
Turning Point Brew Co. “Stuck in a Metaphor” Pale Citra & Mosaic 4.3% (Vg)
Ossett Brewery “Paws for Thought” West Coast IPA 4.2%
Vocation Brewery “Heart & Soul” Fruit Tropical Session IPA 4.4% (Gluten Free)
Hawkshead Brewery “Rookie’s Turn” West Coast IPA 5.6%
The Durham Brewery Ltd “Simplicity” Best Bitter 4.5%
Vaux Brewery & Taproom “This is the Way” Dark Mild 3.5%
Wilde Child Brewing Co. “Brownie Hunter” Chocolate Fudge Brownie Stout 4.9%
Brass Castle Brewery “Gods of the Underworld” Stout 6%

We are open 12noon to 11pm throughout the festival. We are open from 11am on Saturday and will be showing the Coronation coverage on our 77" OLED TV in Hall.

Weather permitting we will have 4 spaces open for your beer drinking pleasure:
Chapel (Main bar operating as usual)
Hall (TV Coverage of live events from London)
Main Beer Garden
Cuthbert's Garden

I went to The Chapel for the first time recently with Bjarte the Bergen Boro fan. Really excellent pub and venue. I like all the original church features, stained glass, pews etc as well drink and food.

Russ and his wife are great people and deserve all the success that they get. Both them and Russ's dad Ian have put a lot into making The Chapel the ideal place to spend time with friends and family.
 
Mmmmm .... mild. Still partial to this after my student years in the Midlands. Increasingly hard to find. The other half is on about doing something for the Coronation, so it looks like we're going!
 
Called in this evening - was really splendid atmosphere - I believe they have curry on tomorrow.
