FAC 5th round 2nd leg at home to Bolton, losing 1-0 from the 1st leg, the town was buzzing with the twin towers on the horizon, with one goal to claw back the fans were certainly playing their part as a record attendance of 51,612 squeezed in to Ayresome Park to 'hopefully' see us equal our 1936 FAC run & reach the quarter final stage for only the 2nd time in our history, with this been our 6th time at the 5th round stage

Unfortunatly no Wilf Mannion, he didnt play that season until early April, but with Micky Fenton with 9 league goals & 6 FAC goals to his name, George Hardwick England & Great Britain captain, Jonny Suppler among the goals, we've certainly got enough to atke the game to Bolton, twice we've played them this season in the Football league north & both have finished close, Boro winning at home 1-0 & losing away 2-1

Micky Fenton scored our goal to level the score at 1-1 but Bolton hit back to equalise, take the lead on aggregate & as the score remained this for the remainder of the game the whistel went, Boro were out & Bolton going through on aggregate 2-1

FAC ticket kindly given courtecy of our own flyme poster DCI Gene Hunt
