I agree. I find it the most relaxing week of the year. Not interested in anything being open. Just quality time with the family for me and forget about work, shops, etc. Appreciate not everybody wants it that way.Hate to say it, but I love them. I seem to spend my whole year running around at a million miles an hour for one reason or another, and the dreaded work inbox is always sat heavily on my shoulder. These are genuinely the only days I can get proper downtime and watch movies, read books and waste the days away without anxiety ruining everything.
