And have won 2 recent judgements against the scummy tabloids who print lies and personal information that is of no concern to anyone. The more people who have the ability and zeal to fight the awful tabliod papers we have in this country the better. If the legacy of them leaving this country is that the likes of the Daily Mail have to take responsibility for their poisonous lies, then that is great.

The people of this country are strange, I think. I remember their wedding day because I was out and about at a tourist attraction and everyone there was trying to get in the cafe to watch it on the telly. I have zero interest in them and ate my lunch outside in the sunshine. People were coming up to me wondering why I wasn't inside watching and a couple didn't believe me when I said I wouldn't recognise the bride if I fell over her in the street. When the Danny Baker furore happened and he got sacked for sharing a monkey pic on twitter, I was with him in not even knowing she was mixed race. That's the only reason I know what she looks like now, because of my interest in where the constant tabloid negative angle on her (which I read about on twitter) comes from.

I don't care where this couple live or what they do, I neither like nor dislike them, but every time one of the tabloids gets a kicking in the courts, my little heart skips a beat. These papers have infected and damaged UK culture beyond recognition to such an extent it's like a slow drip poison that we welcome into our bodies without even recognising what it's doing to us. People like Rupert Murdoch even get to decide who governs us. The sooner the tabloid press withers and dies, the happier I'll be.

The royals? I don't care either way.

Its perfectly acceptable to be in the public eye and use the media to your advantage as pretty much every person in this position does, but also expect that not every single aspect of your private life is examined and scrutinised. Dont think we can expect them to do anything different, the obsession with them by the British press and a fair proportion of the public is very strange and concerning

Knowing them as we do it is not strange. Its exactly what they do. But yes it is concerning.
