The Mail getting a stuffing

And have won 2 recent judgements against the scummy tabloids who print lies and personal information that is of no concern to anyone. The more people who have the ability and zeal to fight the awful tabliod papers we have in this country the better. If the legacy of them leaving this country is that the likes of the Daily Mail have to take responsibility for their poisonous lies, then that is great.
Oh Yeah, fantastic freedom fighters, those two......so independent, living off Harry’s dad’s Duke of Cornwall Estates money while hitting out at the Royal family and Britain generally.

They’ve had a wedding costing millions to you and me, have been protected by Royal protection officers overseas costing probably millions more and refused to do any Royal duties in exchange for the millions they’d have had.

The bottom line is that they don’t like being held to account, challenged or criticised by ANYONE. The Daily Mail was one target, now they’ll be going after others who don’t share their philosophies.

Its perfectly acceptable to be in the public eye and use the media to your advantage as pretty much every person in this position does, but also expect that not every single aspect of your private life is examined and scrutinised. Dont think we can expect them to do anything different, the obsession with them by the British press and a fair proportion of the public is very strange and concerning

JM, Harry, whether even it is legitimate, they just don’t like anyone criticising or challenging them or holding them to account.

So printing proven lies and private family letters is being "held to account"?

As for the rest of your post, you seem to have mistaken me for a flag waving royalist.

Are you Piers Morgan?

Difference being held to account and having every aspect of your private life published though. Just because he is in the public eye doesnt take away his right to privacy

The people of this country are strange, I think. I remember their wedding day because I was out and about at a tourist attraction and everyone there was trying to get in the cafe to watch it on the telly. I have zero interest in them and ate my lunch outside in the sunshine. People were coming up to me wondering why I wasn't inside watching and a couple didn't believe me when I said I wouldn't recognise the bride if I fell over her in the street. When the Danny Baker furore happened and he got sacked for sharing a monkey pic on twitter, I was with him in not even knowing she was mixed race. That's the only reason I know what she looks like now, because of my interest in where the constant tabloid negative angle on her (which I read about on twitter) comes from.

I don't care where this couple live or what they do, I neither like nor dislike them, but every time one of the tabloids gets a kicking in the courts, my little heart skips a beat. These papers have infected and damaged UK culture beyond recognition to such an extent it's like a slow drip poison that we welcome into our bodies without even recognising what it's doing to us. People like Rupert Murdoch even get to decide who governs us. The sooner the tabloid press withers and dies, the happier I'll be.

The royals? I don't care either way.

On the tabloids. I've worked with loads of other nationalities (as you Harry) and have explained before don't judge the UK by the scum bag journalism of the Sun, Mail and the like. There's plenty of really good media regardless of your political point of view. I read the Guardian, but will read others in an attempt to get a balance.

I wouldn't touch the tabloids ever.

Yep. Don't agree with The Telegraph"s politics but it's a decent source of news, and it's streets above the tabs.

So The Mail have alluded to the fact they weren't allowed to submit certain evidence that supported their case (I presume by the court); anyone know what it is?

Not sure I agree with you anymore Harry. I used to buy the Telegraph every day. The sport was excellent (and I liked the crossword). However the politics in the newspaper over the past few years tipped too far right for me to consider it even a modicum of fair and balanced reporting and I also noticed it started producing a lot of tittle tattle tabloid nonsense as well. When some of the better sports writers left or retired I called it a day particularly when they started a price war and reduced the number of pages right down. I stick to the Times. It’s not perfect but way better.

I would agree in principle, but I can't bring myself to give Murdoch any money. Not that I buy a paper anyway tbh.
