* The Unofficial “Official” Boro v Bristol City [Feb / 24] Match-Day Thread *

Carrick has had a mare today.
He’s had a few mares this season. The Chelsea away was ridiculous, as was Brighton last year. You don’t match up you adapt, like we did at home to Chelsea. Right now, something is not right as we concede stupid goals every game. To bring balance, he is young and learning.

I know it doesn't matter at all but what was the point in all that stuff at the start of the season about added time? They were adding 14 minutes and stuff like that for wasting time, they've had 5 players go down injured this half, there's been 8 subs and we get 5 minutes?

The awful start is Carricks responsibility he couldn't have forseen how badly we would have played, but even then he took too long to make the change with hackney.

Been awful today.
It was obvious after Rotherham it didn't work.
It was even more obvious after Sunderland.
The fact we went into the match today and waited till we were 2-0 down today before he changed it us criminal.

I'm really annoyed he's done it

Good second half, should have been 2 2 as the wrong call was made on Greenwood's goal.

That's heartening at least.

Hopefully MC has learned a selection lesson.
The thing is, most fans on here picked the right selection (the second half team) on the team thread. It's annoying Carrick couldn't see it and dropped more points.

My 11th place pre-season finish prediction is looking a bit optimistic. Hopefully we can put a couple of wins and a few draws together to save it.

Carrick has learnt nothing from the last few games, why do we think he will learn from this one?
Fair point. I don't know anyone who would pick Engel over Thomas or leave Dieng and McGree out.

Man's looking more like a
buffoon with each passing game.

And I won't confuse them 'shutting up shop' with a Boro resurgence either.

Forget Archer. Loaning players is a waste of money 👀
I was thinking about signing him and giving Chuba a decent wage. We might be better off financially right now, but we are certainly nowhere near as potent as we were with those two.
