They didn't create a huge amount themselves and very little of note in the second half, but still could have scored a load from first half mistakes.I think it would be fair to say Chelsea struggled to create tonight.
Their best chances came from mistakes by us. Ok, you can argue their press forced those errors: last time we were in the PL, the biggest difference that struck me was the efficiency of the press, and it was no different tonight. But they didn't slice us apart much.
If we gift them chances, yes I'd expect them to take some. Otherwise, I felt they huffed and puffed but lack the flair and guile to open us up.
Their fans must be so disappointed because I think a lot of their players are genuinely good.
Caicedo/Fernandes would have been a superb midfield 2 back in the 442 days. They played with no striker at all for much of tonight with cold parmo (credit to whoever said this earlier) dropping deep
