You had him MoM in the first half when the the whole team had been poor. It wouldn't have been hard for him to be the best player at the time but it is like you have to tell everyone to prove a point.

You still haven't got over when I told you he would be dropped for Fry and you argued he wouldn't.

Edit: I noticed you didn't pick up on the part when I was making light of the 'Give Over' remark by asking after your son.

He won’t be dropped for him next season. Pretty sure about that. Keep holding your grudge. I will always let you know when old Clarkey does the business.

He wasn't doing the business, they were all sh1te.

Regarding next season, we will be in trouble if we are relying on Clarke. Look at how Leeds played him (and they aren't the only ones), allow him to step out and play the ball behind him.

Drury kept mentioning it possibly being Howsons last away game for Boro.

Whilst that is obviously true I hope he doesn’t have some inside info.

I’d love him to carry on for another season.

Sorry but II thought Barlaser gave the ball away multiple times in dangerous positions today and a better team may well have punished them.
His overall game is generally good but still manages to give opposition far too many opportunities for my liking.
Nice lad I am sure but not good enough for us and where we expect to be.
Essential we improve in this position for next season, Happy with Howson and Hackney there and possibly McCabe after his cameo today but 1 other needed and first position to fill for me.

I'm a big fan of Azaz but I thought he looked lost for large parts of the first half and was drifting out of position. Maddo also commented on this.

Yeah he did leave Thomas with a bit to do defensively but tbh Bowler had a poor game I thought. Normally does well against us. His goal was just because of our mistake.

But going forward and picking up cover positions Asa’s really impressed and linked with Gilbert.

The Sky Highlights tell you everything about the first half. All they show is Dieng's save and Clarke's goal.

It wasn’t a great half but Clarke stood out defensively in the battle against Diehdou and also got the all important goal. It’s a pointless conversation now, we all agree he was the best player let’s leave it at that

He was ok today, but it’s a game with absolutely no pressure against an awful opponent. All the time in the world on the ball, that’s when he looks decent. It’s when we’re having to defend or need to move the ball quickly he goes to pot.
