* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Coventry Match-Day Thread and Review of The Year *

Would love to find out why we get so many injuries and so little information. Hopefully an investigation is under way…

I'm in the same boat as Chappy, can't really get angry that a side that missed out last year has made tactical changes after a first half chasing.

How are any of the subs we're able to name today going to change the game. Don't know what people are surprised about now of all times regarding subs being made or not, we have nobody of note to bring on.
How do you know if they don’t get the chance

There’s always a tendency in this modern world for a kneejerk reaction to almost everything.

On balance, we have a very depleted squad that even before this injury crisis was relatively inexperienced. Inconsistency should be expected this season imo
Wish they would have told me that before I renewed my ticket lol

This thread today epitomises that, everyone conveniently forgets how well we played first half and the fact we’ve played five games in about 11 days with little option to freshen it up!

I’m normally screaming at Carrick to make substitutions, but he has absolutely no options today.

Season far from over, but it will be if we don’t get things right in January.

And they have a much stronger bench to utilise when they need fresh legs.

It's not rocket science that when this injury crisis really began to bite is exactly when we went from a second half team to a first half team in general, just one that isn't as clinical in front of goal.
Out first team wouldn’t have beat these, they know how to play us - sit back. Watch us shoot a few times from outside the box then over power us. Happens every time
