Coventry fans may have gathered a few shillings together to upset our lads with fireworks last Sunday, but we are going to put on a display to blow them away. We dont need a guy or someone to light their fire. Our lads have had an amazing season by any standards. We were full of hope to begin with and after a let-down before October, we picked ourselve up off the floor and took off like a rocket. Who were we to know our season would turn around in the way it has. When Michael Carrick arrived, he brought with him the experience of a player at the highest level in domestic and international football. He brought with him the skills to gel a team of staff and players into a fighting unit. The players have proven themselves worthy of the challenge. Carrick always says "that`s football" when asked about the ups and downs of the season. He`s never been one to shout about his achievements and always been humble, crediting the lads and their efforts.
We`ve played Cov three times already this season and by now we know what they are capable of. But tonight its about us. Its about taking the best we have to the Sky Blues. Its about blowing out their sparklers and using the passion ignited in the Riverside. We know what a brilliant atmosphere can do to charge up the players. We have what it takes to put the opposition to the sword. We dont need anyone to light our touch-paper or tell others how brave we are.
Its our own bonfire night tonight. Unlike our "rivals" who couldnt make it over the line last night, we intend to put on a display to send us to Wembley. Its the second half.
Lets set the night on fire.
Come On Boro!!!!!
