* The unofficial "Official" Bristol City v Boro Matchday Thread and Programme *

I've gone from thinking we could close on Bournemouth before kickoff to being worried about the fight for a playoff spot.
Whereas I've gone from thinking we've Bob all chance of catching Bournemouth but will more likely than not end up in the playoffs before kick off to thinking we've Bob all chance of catching Bournemouth but will more likely than not end up in the playoffs at the final whistle.

We’ll make the play offs

I’ve no doubt at all about that.

It was one of those frustrating games, missed opportunities and they were lucky especially when the ball went loose in the box and never went to our players. They were lucky to hang on. Like we were 'lucky' in previous games it happens.

I have gone to away games on the Championship when we have had 1 or 2 chances all game. On Saturday we had 21 chances 10 of them on target or was that just luck or lies by the BBC?

Earlier in the season we went to Reading and deserved to lose and at Coventry and I said so, the game at Bristol was different to those games.

Ref: Crooks - He got an early booking which probably affected some of his play particularly his defensive play.

Ref: Connolly and Balogun - If they are not match fit, what is the best way to get them match fit? Both were lively on Saturday, but do need to put the ball in onion bag, as that's their primary role.

By the look of Chris Wilder in his post-match interview he was seething!
The forwards will have to up their game - starting in training and scoring on Tuesday.
Matt "The Tree" is getting into scoring positions more than Balogun, Sporar or Connolly at the moment.
Duncan is doing OK, but hes more an impact player - not 90 mins.
Perhaps Josh could get his chance with more minutes?
Tav needs to up his scoring - 1 goal so far.
Johnny needs to get more than 1 goal a season too!
Paddy could do with a few headers from corners - like Ayala used to do!
Dael has already opened his account.
McGree - from what we`ve seen so far - needs to start scoring and providing assists.
Its a team game - they`ve done great under Wilder.*
Messiah Jones puts in more crosses into the box than any player we`ve had for years.
Its got to click if we want to cement ourselves in the play-off places.

* Perhaps its a measure of how far we`ve come as a Team / Club / Fans, that we are all really disappointed when we lose? Its because we`ve come to expect a lot more.

Put it right on Tuesday(y)

We are pretty light for goals all over the pitch to be honest:

Ahead of target:
Crooks (8) could/should end up double figures
Coburn (3) hardly played, great goals per min
Watmore (5) on minutes played h's probably ahead, if he started the rest of the season would probably end up around 10

On Target
McNair (3) CBs should be on 3 or 4 a season
Bola (1) not played enough to have more
Peltier, McGree, Siliki, Hall, Bamba (0) not played enough minutes

Below Target
Fry (1) should be getting 3 or 4 a season with his eight and number of corners we gain
Howson (1) should be looking at 4 for the season
Jones (1) should have more
Payero (1) not got going
Sporar (7) should be on about 10 by now
Tavernier (1) lots of shots, not so many goals
Connolly (1) early days but should be on 2 or 3 already
Taylor (0) wingback with no record of scoring but has got into scoring positions and not converted
Balogun (0) early days still and not a lot of mins but could still have a couple
Dijksteel (0) no goal threat at all despite playing much of the season

There are quite a few there that need to up it. Half the squad really underperforming with regards to goalscoring
