* The Unofficial "Official" Steve and Mel - Boro v Derby Match day Thread *

After that performance I have changed my mind completely.
I love Derby county.
I understand what Mel Morris was doing now.
He did an amazing job turning a regular promotion challenger into that.
And all those millions he has just donated to us on Derby's behalf.
And those Derby fans who travelled all that way just to enjoy another Boro win.
Four vital promotion points they gifted to us this season.
Not to mention the 21 point head start.
I hope Derby survive and we can we play them every week.

You speak for yourself, if Derby do survive I'd prefer not to be playing them at all personally.
Draw your own conclusions from that.

First time we've scored 4 in a league game in FIFTY SIX GAMES
Birmingham (A) Dec 2020.

Last 5 goal haul at home.....14th March 2016 4-1 win vs Ipswich, nearly 7 years ago, the first time we've scored 4 at home in 154 league games!!!!

What a foooookin result, that one was for Gibbo
I think we will see us destroy a few teams from now until the end of the season -
Jones is on fire, Tav, Crooks, Mcgree and our four forwards will mesmerise defences with their passing and movement.
The momentum keeps building!

McGree in the little I saw seemed to have the same calmness as Howson about him. Can see him pulling the strings.

Has been a great week - first time in ages I really enjoy the games!

Imagine if we had a left sided version of Jones too.

that would be my priority come the next window.

As I said elsewhere, I only saw the second half, but from that I did see a team that is clearly all pulling in the same direction. I don't think we need to worry about anyone not getting game time and upsetting things either. That game will have done both Connelly and Balogan the world of good confidence wise and I'd expect the competition for places up front to push all four of the strikers on.
We have an aura of inevitability about us at the moment.

Really like the look of him, can see why we thought he could slot straight into the team. Looks a tidy footballer and athletic, pretty much perfect for a Wilder midfielder.

Looks like he wants to get beyond as well which Tav and Crooks don't really do from deeper positions.

Seems like I missed a good match.

Although if the Derby fans on Twitter are to be believed it’s all either part of the deal or a massive conspiracy against Derby.

Looking forward to watching the highlights tonight.

So much positivity- so much warranted. Is this the final piece in the jigsaw? Scoring goals. Improved our goal difference by 50% today. Hopefully, we can retain this form. Wilder is simply an amazing boss. Best for a long, long time

While I'd rather have Stoke win than Forest, I'd actually prefer a draw as Stoke aren't too far behind and Forest have played a game more than us? One of the three points vanishes into thin air then, same as Hudds and the Blades earlier.

If Carlsberg did the results...
Yeah, almost a perfect set of results until Bournemouth scored two late goals. (Still, would have grabbed those results in a shot, if offered first thing this morning)!!
