Evening all. Having plenty of gin and digging out Simple Minds on the vinyl. One of my favourite bass lines.

Love it. Forbes was such a brilliant ɓass player and integral their early stuff.

I'm trying to build a vinyl collection and had a blast of Street Fighting Years earlier, which I found in Saxosounds in Darlo. SM are playing in Leeds tonight but I'm going to see them in Rome in June.

So with my Guinness 0.0% poured I offer this, which features a cameo by a certain Mr. L. Reed.

Just done a Google search and it was 1991 on the Real Life tour I last saw them play. Enjoy Rome fella, I went to see Depeche Mode in Rome last year. It's such a great experience going to overseas gigs

I've seen them a few times since my first time at Roundhay Park in 89, including the Gateshead gig of the Real Life tour. They've only got Jim and Charlie from the original lineup now but are still great live. Loads of good reports on the Facebook fan groups about tonight's gig. Enjoy yours too!

Edit: apparently they played Premonition and This Fear of Gods last night!
