The weekend beer and musis thread...

Afternoon all, another weekend is here and the last until the long Easter weekend. No football for the international break so looking forward to the games against Brazil and Belgium, the Euros aren't too far away so its a good time to test ourselves against quality opposition.

I was in Ireland last weekend and did indulge in a Kilkenny or two amongst others, though having a weekend off the drink as trying to lose a little weight.

Received my new walking stick this afternoon so went out for a stroll. This came on on iTunes. One of my favourite songs and arrangements ever. Took me straight back to teaching windsurfing in the South of France, before I ever imagined I'd need a walking stick.

Evening. Well staying off the booze is made harder when Morrisons are doing the regular 19 Crimes for £6 a bottle (3 for 18).

Gutted that I couldn't get tickets to see Public Service Broadcasting play at Durham Cathedral later this year. They're playing the album "In Every Valley" in its entirety 40 years after the miner's strike.

Went to see Bull at the Crescent, York tonight (great venue, it was jumping ...and bar billiards!)

A few early Theakston's but (pretty crap) V&C by the time we got the venue. The gig was brilliant, but can't find my fave two Bull songs on YouTube. So have this

They have a crafty all day event tomorrow before the next show, which I think is a sell out

Always hated red stripe but love Echobelly.saw them live several decades ago. I had 1 sip of a Brooklyn 0% and promptly fell asleep at 9pm. K cider anyone? That is my 90s throwback drink.
