The wheels have somewhat fallen off

A great shame our form has taken such a dip in the last few games. Everything was going so smoothly! Is it just form loss? Disruption to our defence? A keeper who is fast becoming a liability? Fatigue? Or a combination of most/ all of these? Or, have we been sussed as to how we play?
Tomorrow if there are a number of changes it might be to our advantage.

Mind we still have our misfiring strikers! I hear the argument we don’t create much - fair enough. That is why we need strikers that have a far better conversion rate than our lumbering lot! Certainly a major concern amongst a few currently. We do need a win tomorrow to get the season back on track.

Hope its just one of those factors and not that teams are starting to know how to play against us

Think it’s a combination of all those factors actually. Stoke certainly did their homework on us but we do look a jaded squad at present. Gijksteel is a miss too but if you don’t score goals you don’t win football matches.

Why we can’t fill the bench up with some exciting youngsters I don’t get. Give them a taste of what it’s about- missing one reserve game isn’t the be all and end all!

I think the players are knackered. If you're game it's high tempo defend in the opponents half you can't really figure this out you have to match that style of play. We just don't do it as well as we were and I think thread because we are tired. Hows that for a run on sentence.

As well as some contribution from the factors already mentioned I'm mainly thinking that we're a mid table team in a very competitive league where anyone can beat anyone else. We had a promising run but should expect a mixture of results as we go, including the odd really crap result like last time out.
I'm like a lot of people I forgot my pre season expectations of a safe mid table finish and started expecting continuous good results when we were pushing up the table, I don't think it was ever really going to last.

If were tired surely all the other squads, even though probably a bit bigger will be feeling the effect too.......I reckon its because we have two terrible excuses for forwards in Assombalonga and Akpom...pair of em are absolute gash

We were always 2-3 injuries away from a 'crisis'. Also some players just looked fragged through to many minutes.

I don't think it's the end of the world. We are still getter than last season and we have to see the positives. I think we were punching a few weeks ago and now are probably where we expected to be.

We've lacked goals now for 3 seasons. It's almost unfathomable how 3 managers and various signings haven't sorted the issue (although we have had the same forwards for most of this period). We still don't score goals from setplays.... Why?

You would have to say mid table would still be an improvement. I think Warnock made it clear that he expected Norwich / Watford and Bournemouth to lead the way. It's strarting to look that way already.

That said Millwall and Luton have to be in the 'winnable' bracket. 6 points and things will look better again👍

this squad is a mid table team... exciting start but I we knew it couldnt last with 2 games a week... few loss of form, concentration for the goals against and dressing room biting starts

Completely agree, Warnock said our academy is the best he's ever seen... don't understand why you wouldn't put a couple of youngsters on the bench ??
