'The Wilder Effect'

of course we're going to see a transition period as wilder gets to know his players and the players get to grips with their new manager, I understand that we had to go for Wilder when we did or risk losing him to another team. he was apparently our long term option (even though we didn't go for him in the summer)

there has been talk of us bringing players in to suit wilder over Warnock.. well, that clearly isn't the case, as it doesn't sound as if he fancies any of them at the moment!

we are effected by the very same issues as under Warnock best team in the championship over 70 minutes, then as fatigue comes into play with a relatively thin squad the cracks start to appear and we crumble.

the new shape, the progressive all singing all dancing way that wilder sets up the team isn't that much different from Warnock, I would say Warnock's shape had it's soul set in 3-4-3 but in reality was not much different from 3-5-2 Wilder looks prettier as we are more attacking and we take more risks (for which the players are immediately criticized for after the match)

I do think we look softer, 'the dark arts' are much less apparent, the pressure on the referee and officials has gone (which is much needed as they are truly dreadful)

I've said that over the past two games that Neil Warnock gets results, with Bola back his team is stronger, although Tavernier looks better in the middle he has been much more effective out wide, Dijksteel gets more game time under Warnock.. fine margins.

January can't come quick enough Scrug and neither can the return of Dael Fry - our recruitment has been abysmal for a number of reasons, injuries certainly haven't helped robbing us of Sammy Ameobi, we left holes in defence which cost us massively with our first choice back four being out and we scrimped and saved and delayed and argued right up until we were down to the bare bones up front.

James Lea Siliki is our most disappointing acquisition of the summer compounded with the fact we were in for Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu hopefully both Kieran Scott and Chris Wilder can work together to alleviate the issues that previous managers have found with Neil Bauser. Short term I'm not expecting anything spectacular, but come January our recruitment needs to perform minor miracles to bring in the players that we need.. players that we've needed for quite some time now. All eyes with be on Scott and Wilder in January. Folarin Balogun would be a great start and a massive show of intention!

If feels that we will be at best treading water and more realistically even going backwards a little. I don't think we'll see 'The Wilder Effect' until the transfer window, the huge change we'll hopefully see will be us bringing in the players we need rather than just seeing their names in the papers and seeing them go to other clubs.

Only if you have an agenda!
my agenda to support the team and have realistic expectations of where we've been, where we are and where we're heading (hopefully)?

the exact same folks who were out to get warnock will be the exact same folks that will have the knives out ready for wilder if their unrealistic expectations aren't met.. make no mistake, false narratives are being created as we speak in order for folks to grab attention on social media etc

Give over. You and Nobby both went to ridiculous proportions to defend Warnock - even though his record was laid bare for all to see. Frankly the reams and reams written by both of you never acknowledged and addressed the major point - our results, performances, fitness etc were simply nowhere near good enough.

There’s a lot of nonsense in there Newy.

ridiculous proportions? nah, I just acknowledged that we had a number key players out of our squad that had a detrimental effect on our results.

I honestly don’t see the point you are trying to make you put wilder effect in ‘’ as If to mock it then liked my comment saying how could he change fitness levels in 2 weeks a comment I made criticising what Warnock didn’t do.

Just seen your comment on the other thread and it’s clear now that you have an agenda against the current boss 2 games in.

I said before the game howson should not be playing as the defensive midfielder, he cant do it for 90 minutes Wilder cannot turn back time.. Similarly poor Bamba must be desperate for rest. For those expecting a new manager bounce its not going to happen, the players weren't underperforming under Warnock. Fans expectations of the squad are miles too high.

the point the we won't see 'the wilder effect' until january

as for liking your comment, I can only apologise there was no secret agenda or hidden message behind it, it was a comment that i'd read and by the sounds of it agreed with.

I just don’t see how you can compare. Warnock has gone and I think we’re seeing under wilder exactly what the issues ( that he didn’t address) really are.

I've mentioned this before and even in my Team for Huddersfield thread. If fact the main points of my 'never-ending essays' and 'mindless support' of our former manager were based in exactly in the points you make here.

Bamba has done AMAZINGLY WELL unreal, to the point he is beyond criticism imo, the fact is we're breaking down as a team after 70mins small individual errors and fatigue plays a huge part in that.

Bamba, Peltier were brought in as back up to back ups and they are currently regular first teamers
Jones and Coburn have been thrown in at the deep end and Howson is playing every single role we can throw at him

Dijksteel has a huge part to play in our revival as has Fry (the sooner he is back the better) a question mark still over Siliki as to whether he can do the job at the level we need him to do it. MARCUS BROWNE is getting fitter by the day I can't see him being risked until the new year, he's properly good and will improve the squad.

FA Cup 3rd Round in January.. we could pretty much field a team of players that have hardly featured this season!

----Browne--Olusanya-----
Bola--Siliki--Malley-----Sivi
Taylor--Fry--Hall --Dijksteel
--------Stojanovic-----------

A lot of Boro fans are going to need Patience, It's going to take a while before we see any "Wilder effect", getting used to his tactics, style of play, his own actual players, it's going to be a long term project and i'm looking forward to see what plays out.

as for now the last 2 games is Wilder playing with Warnock's team and it quite clearly shows for me, onwards and upwards!

Being honest about it Warnock didn't even have Warnock's team.. we're a long way off. Hopefully we can batten down the hatches and scrape enough points for late season dash to 6th place!!
