These Two Blokes Suing Madonna

I wouldn’t be so sure as never underestimate us law suits as there’s a reason red bull now gives you wiiiiings

“Red Bull gives you wings” has been the energy drink’s slogan for nearly two decades. Now the company has agreed to pay out more than $13 million after settling a US class action lawsuit that accused Red Bull of making false and misleading advertising claims,

Aye but that was $10 to any customer bothered to apply. Not thousands to a couple of guys who were tired taking their kids to school the next day.

I've seen her a few times. Late on stage twice, quite heavily the first time.

What a pair of wallies these two are.

Mind you, am keeping an eye on proceedings.....

Interesting they chose to stay the whole course and not leave early for their weeknight usual sleepybyebyes. Hmm , there must be something more to this to get this Hung Up

TBH I think it is fair enough.

Not talking specifically about this case but if you've bought tickets to an event & planned your journey to & from it. The performer makes a unilateral decision to start & finish late.
You either incur additional expense getting home because the trains have stopped or you lose part of the performance as you have to leave the show to get the train.

Why shouldn't the performer have insurance to cover this cost?

To be fair, the complaint here was that it didn't actually have energy enhancing properties, not that it didn't actually give them wings. Even so, it was a low blow and an attempt to legally challenge something literally that was never meant in that way in the first place.

Insurance covering everybody's travel costs if they finish late? Personally I think the venues should have curfew arrangements to allow travel home and if the gig can't be completed in time then they shouldn't be allowed to run it and give full refunds to the punters - and holding these artists on a bond. That will soon stop this late starting nonsense.

Why are they alway late.
Once stood for 100 minutes after the supposed start time for a Specials gig.
(Yes I know he's late now)

In this instance we are told it was a technical problem.
In general - for artists to take the psiss out of their fans and come and go as they please is pretty cack and needs calling out.

Was discussing this with my mate last Saturday (He’s a sound engineer who tours all over the world with bands).
He had a fair bit to say about the prima donna attitude of those around band members that makes them feel invincible.

The only person who has any chance of breaking through is the sound engineer (good reliable ones are hard to find and they tend to cling to them)

Told a great story about Duran Duran who, he said, were dicking about and nowhere near ready.
The sound engineer simply went into the room with 15 mins to go and told them they needed to be on time. They didn’t really react so he went on to say.
‘Look this is simple - We’ve got 90 mins, you go on when you want but you need to tell me what songs to pull because I’m stopping 90 mins after you are due to start. Your encore is Rio and if you don’t get to do it there will be hell on’

After a bit of tooing and froing they got their act together and were on time’
