These UFOs that get regularly spotted . . .

People assume that life on other planets will have evolved at the same time and rate, and in a similar way, as humans have. The earth is about 4.6bn years old and the universe is around 12bn. Some physicists believe that the universe didn’t have a starting point, which I can’t get my head around, but there could be parts of the wider universe(s) that have existed for longer and life that started evolving before the earth even existed. Social media and podcasts are great for this kind of stuff.
Sorry I just saw this… I thought I very similar thing!

Have you looked at the ideas on the theory of Consciousness and Simulation Theory?
Well once you go down this rabbit hole, it leads you to some strange places.
String theory is faster than the speed of light. (Quantum entanglement, spooky action at a distance Einstein called it)
Photons fired through the double split (experiment) that behave differently (wave pattern) but only when observed ( consciousness).
Quantum particles that pop in and out of existence ( some scientists think they enter other dimensions around us.)
This does give weight to the (we are living in a simulation theory)
But yet to be convinced.

Although a dum - dum, I've always had a big interest in watching public fronted scientists lectures, and garnering anything that I can understand in physics, cosmology, astronomy.
As now an older person, the internet has come to pass as the "future" in some respects, that I was told to expect as a young un. What a time to learn, and educate and enjoy yourself even in the basics with this in your home.

The alien /spaceship/encounters/abductions - Is a bit of fun to read imho. I'm always as a standing point a doubting Thomas.

The scientific theories are always interesting, amazing minds I enjoyed being baffled by "Emergence Theory" and this "Reality Consciousness" video is worth a watch if you haven't already.

This site for astronomy is very good, lots of links and info radio stations and sites for local clubs. I'm paying a visit to the UK National Space Centre.
in Leicester late summer and Kennedy Space Center in early summer.

J-Rod, Dan Burisch ( direct industrial-military contractor as a microbioligist ) , mid 80s to 90s I think, somewhere underground in Area 51 , Project Camelot interviews , mind blowing. Enough said

Thank you.
I will watch this, the deeper you go, the more fascinating it is, the materialistic world around us is not how we perceive it, and science is proving it.
I am baffled by most of it.😂😂😂

Haha, so true. My friend Mick not only visits those strange places, he lives in them.😉
I don’t know the title of his job, never bothered asking. He will explain some projects he’s involved with. Other times when asked it’s “Just work” …conversation on that stopped there.
He is quite good explaining complexities for normals.I left the area so haven’t seen him for some years. Pity, because last time met he promised to tell me about gravity, and his growing belief that its not being entirely what we think it is.
Gravity seems to be a bit of a topic now apparently
He was very open to the multiverse and such.

I once made the mistake of saying to my wife something like - isnt't it's crazy to think that we are hanging upside down from a ball of rock which is hurtling through space around a ball of fire at 60000 odd mph. Thank god for gravity! - let's say it didn't go down well with someone who is a nervous flyer.

No more stupid than jumping from unidentified to flying saucer I suppose.
Not many on here are doing that though! Most are having a sensible debate on what these objects are. To claim that there are no UFOs and to put it down to an "over active imagination" is a bit much, it is very much a stupid take. The evidence is there now and the witnesses are very credible. These objects, whatever they are, are real.

Evidence of what exactly ? If there is one of these things and their occupants freely available to view i must have missed it. Some lights in the sky or some kind of object isn’t proof of anything

They are, but there is no evidence they are visitors from another star system, nor another dimension. I was referring to the leap from I can't identify it to it must be an alien craft. That makes no more sense than putting the sightings down to an overactive imagination.

So far I have heard multi-verse, for which there is no evidence and in fact the maths doesn't support it particularly well, and super string theory which we have spent 70 years trying to gather evidence, and again there is none and it is being abandoned by many physicists. Though to be fair it is responsible for some pretty big leaps in mathematics.

It makes for interesting conversation, but we shouldn't be surprised if others ridicule the debate.

Let me just say this again, if we were being visited by an advanced civilization their footrpint would be all over the skies, and it isn't. That doesn't mean it isn;t happening, it does mean there is no evidence of it though.

I posted a Joe Rogan podcast footage of disc type object flying past a plane (further back in the thread) I know it’s not proof that we have been visited by aliens, but what is your take on it?. (This has been verified as real)

What is your general feeling on the footage (that has been verified) of crafts doing manoeuvres that we simply do not have the capabilities to carry out?

What do you think of Obama and his comments that have been posted on this thread?

I really have no idea. It's much more likely that it is experimental aircraft than visitation by aliens though.

Over the years many natural phenomona have been investigated as UFO's. About 20 years ago in Arizona 2 police officers reported a UFO sighting, It turned out to be venus. It was "moving in the sky" due to the winding road the police cruiser was on.

I would pretty much ignore anything that comes from Rogan, the man's a nut so I didn't watch the clip. I appreciate that not all of his guests are nut jobs, but he does have a fair number of those too.

Let me explain why it's unlikely we have been visited by aliens, and why we would just know, if we had. An advanced civilization that had been around long enough to cross space would have been broadcasting signals for, probably centuries. Those signals would have reached earth because their craft have. It would be noisy as hell. Anyone bothering to look in our direction would see signs of civilization for the last couple hundred years. We make a huge raket and we are no where near even visiting our nearest star with a probe.

This is why it's unlikely, we would have detected there home planet, if not their space craft.

Joe Rogan can have some looneys on, it’s not him, it’s the footage that has been verified as real, (please take a look)
Don’t you think that planets millions of years further advanced will use technology beyond what we could even imagine? Could pass through time and space? I know it seems like science fiction.
I was a non believer until the last 5 years and I think the evidence that is building and the credible witnesses.
Now former former president , NASA scientists, fighter pilots, commercial pilots, these people can’t be waved away as crackpots.

I know there's at least one other Why Files viewer on here and one of the recurring themes on there is that fringe scientific theories often become mainstream once further research has taken place.
I think there's enough evidence out there as it is to say that there is something going on and it'll only be through mainstream science investigating it that we'll get closer to finding out what is going on.

It's not out of the question that there are civilizations millions of years in advance of us, that is true, though probably not very likely. However, it seems that FLT is not possible given physics as we understand it. There is a theoretical warp mechanism that would probably work, however it requires so much energy that it would require material so exotic it couldn't exist in the current universe. Plenty of physicist expect 1 advanced civilization per galaxy seems about right. That would give us trillions of advanced civilizations. They would all just be too far away. For the scale andromeda, our nearest galaxy is 2 million light years away. Thats some bus ticket to reach here.

Assuming that other civilizations are restricted to just below the speed of light then their energy would radiate faster than they could travel and we would see that energy. If you have an old rotary dial wireless you can, right now, go and listen to the energy from the very early universe. We can see and hear that, with really simple equipment, so why would we not see evidence of an advanced civilization?

The reason I say that advanced life is unlikely is really 2-fold, discounting their absence, of course.

Firstly the universe is a fairly violent place and a planet needs to remain habitable for a very long time. It took earth about a billion years to develop single celled life, but that isn't the hard part. The leap from single celled life to multi-celled complex life took a lot longer, about 4 billion years. Thats a long time for a planet to remain stable and it is probably a very rare occurrence. We know that planets in our own solar system had liquid water at sime point, but they were not stable enough over a long enough period. After complex life developes you can have extinction events, providing you don't return to single cellular life. In 500 million years we see the vast array of complex plant and animal life. For the 4 billion years previously, not so much.

The second reason is the great filter. This is a theory that any advanced civilization will destroy itself. We can see that on earth pretty clearly. The only way life on earth doesn't destroy itself is if we colonize space. It is entirely possible that life on other planets evolved to be less warlike than humans, but I am not sure I buy that. We fight over resources and I don't really see any reason why another species wouldn't do the same.

“I know it sounds like science fiction” - yep ✔️👌🏼
