Scored his 12th, our 27th at AP, 35th in total as a football league club & his final Boro hattrick, when the mighty Boro beat Sheffield United 3-2 at Ayresome Park

George Elliott, who won 3 England caps, with his 2nd cap agaisnt Ireland at Ayresome Park, went on to play 365 games for the Boro between 1909 & 1925, scoring a whopping 213 goals, he also scored a 6 in one game when playing against Hartlepool United, November 1918, in the Northern Victory League & 4 against Bradford City in a 1st divison fixture at Ayresome Park on the 17th April 1920

If you hadn't hit the 'ignore' button on me Coluka you might have realised that is what I was referring to.
 
We must have had England forwards in the side more or less continuously for a long time. The 'big club' experience.
