If u remember 86

U don't slag gibbo

He's not immune to criticism because of what he did nearly 40 years ago. Some of the criticism is ridiculous, and personal, but he's made plenty of mistakes over the years and will continue to do so.

Are we better with him than without him, in my opinion 100% yes, but that doesn't mean that he is immune to any criticism and in this case even ignoring the price rise, the short window to pay, lack of interest free credit options and tone deaf email mean he needs to hold his hands up.

They seem to have pretty much a stadium wide price which makes them expensive at entry level behind the goals but are cheaper down the sides of the pitch.
I was looking at the attached. Wonder what the £250 are on that.. guessing they must be including the 18-20, which by the way is a fantastic idea to have cheap prices for 'young adults'.

18-20 isn't there as a separate category in your image but the one above has them at £240.50 so could be that they have grouped them.

True. I’m just saying there isn’t always a direct correlation between pricing and attendance, as it’s not a consistent product.

Reducing / increasing the price by £100 doesn’t automatically mean we’ll sell x thousand more / less tickets.

I remember some matches under Strachan where we could have sold tickets for a quid and we’d still only get 15,000 there. I couldn’t give my season ticket away for matches I couldn’t make.

But yet if we’d made the cup final this weekend we’d have sold out our 35,000 allocation and probably had a waiting list for returns.

Tickets, travel, London accommodation… £150+
Yes well a one in ten year event and a chance at winning the teams second major honour in their history will likely encourage people to make a bigger sacrifice than watching Boro play Rotherham at the Riverside on a Tueadsy night

Have you ever seen the Simon Pegg film "the world's end"?

They all went on a massive pub crawl and were turned into aliens by Steve Gibson

That's a silly argument to make. People find the money because it's a special occassion. You don't know what people may be giving up to make that game. They choose to give up things for that. Some people have to weigh up what sacrifices they need to make to pay for a season ticket and at that cost it's often not worth it for people on a lower income. A one off special moment that you might remember for the rest of your life is a different thing. I hate how so many people because they are more comfortable look down on other people choosing which events they can and cannot afford.

Agreed. I think it’s a horrible thing to start judging what people do with their money and saying “well you’d find it for this”.

Beer and food and it would be close to half a season ticket price, but they’d all have paid it
