Not for me. Would rather go 2 upfront. If he was doing it in training surely he would be given a chance. Somethings obviously missing attitude wise, would love to know what it is

I’d go with two up top also so Rav probably misses out, but I do like that team and would agree with Spence if fit. Probably go with Moukoudi in place of Friend also.

The guy is 27 and living off 2 games as a West Ham player, and has played less than 100 proper games.

I don't think he is the answer.

The only alternative I would consider is 5-3-2:

............................Stojanovic
.........Fry..........Moukoudi......Friend
Shotton..........................................Coulson
...........Roberts....Howson....Saville
..............Fletcher.....Britt

But Spence at RWB if fit, of course

McNair is an odd one, he's big, and strong, he can score, and he has a decent cross, but he just seems to operate at a different speed to most players, he's lethargic and slow reacting to what goes on around him. Players run off him, the ball bypasses him and when we have the ball he doesn't make his decisions fast enough to keep moves flowing. I honestly feel he would be better as a RWB, he wouldn't need to worry about what is happening behind him, he just needs to be aware of that 180 arc around him, in CM it's a 360 arc of awareness, and his brain just doesn't seem to compute fast enough. I know he has played that role for Northern Ireland, but even in that role, I think he's no better than a mid champo player.

He's not actually that strong either

We should be playing Clayton instead of McNair. I think the reason he has gone for McNair is Howson isn't going to bust a gut getting forward and he needs someone to break from the midfield into the box. Saville doesn't really do that too. McNair was our best player first few weeks of the season.

Coulson dropped, yet Johnson who gave away a stupid free kick for their equaliser stays.

Spence sadly injured.

McNair rightly dropped so hope Morrison plays well.
