Times our fans have acted daft

I saw Frankie Bam Bam do a Klinsmann down the stairs at Anfield after Geremi had just scored a free kick to put us 1 nil up. Daft but sublime.

On the serious front the guy who lost his finger trying to short cut the allotments at Watford.

On the less serious side the guy who swam across the canal and back in deep winter for a bet in Norwich.

Also poor attendance in the UEFA cup games. Crazy when you think about it now. Joni Mitchell was right, you don't know what you've got till it's gone
It's important to factor in the sheer number of games played at the time with big league and fa cup runs on top of the European schedule (like an extra half season of league games).. People aren't made of money plus all the European games were live on free TV.

The "stand up if you've shagged his wife" chants we used to get every time Barmby returned to the Riverside. Was maybe mildly amusing (albeit pretty cruel and not based on anything true) the first time. But also very unfair to Barmby who'd never slagged us off and been nothing but a pro while here.

Wasn't remotely funny the second, third, fourth.....time, unless you were a simple minded type who could happily watch Mrs Brown's boys on repeat.

And if the story about why he left is true, it was Robbo who effectively forced him out anyway because he didn't fit in with the drinking culture at the club.

Hard to prove one way or another isn’t it?

Not really.

How do you suggest a fan throwing his season ticket had an impact on the ability of professional footballers to win games.

I dropped a cup of tea on my lap at that game, and ate a wagon wheel for the first and last time, it could be argued that either of those events had a role to play in our improvement.

Ok mate. Have a nice weekend. 👍

Fans leaving about ten minutes before half time just to get a pint. Usually the same fans leaving 5 minutes before the end of play.

How daft is that? Just stay to the end! You’re there for the footy not the average beer.

Might be unpopular, but the three points chant at the start of the 1997 Cup Final (mistaken by Mellor as Sieg Heil!)......had always dreamt of seeing us in an FA Cup Final and wanted to enjoy all the build up etc....., did we think Graeme Kelly would hear it and say 'ok you can have em back lads'
