Tirana advice

I went for a few days last month, mainly to see a game. I thought it was a great place. I bet any Albanians who move from there to the UK wonder what ******** they've ended up in. I didn't get to the beach so can't offer any thoughts on that.
 
Tirana is inland no? Apparently the coast of Albania is beautiful in parts but the nicer parts are a good few hours from Tirana by road I think.
 
Tirana is the place to fly into and worth a day or two. The closest beach is at Durres but there are nicer ones down south which is a longer drive. You should have no problem finding a cheap place to stay, but hit me up if you're struggling.

One thing to note is there are not many all inclusives and food and beer is incredibly cheap
 
Thanks for the info. Can get the 2 of us out there for around £80 and Hotels look pretty decent, the only fall back is our lass, thinking Albanians are as rough as fook. Cheeky mare says her from Nottingham.
 
At the risk of generalising, the men look like they've been smacked in the chops with a shovel, but the women are prettier than over here.
