Today at Middlesbrough council..

Fair enough. I haven’t seen the Lodgers forecasts that the spend next year will be less… I assume they must indicate there will be a significant drop in the number of new children requiring care compared to previous years.

But i'm sure he said on this thread that he expected the number of children requiring care to INCREASE in the coming year(s)??
Hi,

I said the council are looking to reduce costs per looked after child. Which if successful would mean a saving.

Also in my opinion, looking at the cost of living crisis and if it gets any worse, it wouldn't surprise me if the numbers increase rather than decrease-I guess that would be a common sense look at it when all things are considered?

Are the bicycle lanes down linthorpe road a part of the budget cuts?
Preston's bus lane is crazy, but in truth it never cost the council anything, at least not yet, it remains to be seen if someone has a successful insurance claim against the council in the future.

Wow! This is one of the most interesting threads I have seen whilst being a member on this forum.

Firstly, @TheLodger please keep doing what you’re doing and fighting the good fight for us. Preston is a charlatan and a liar and should be held to account at every stage and fingers crossed for the upcoming elections.

So many closeted tories have outed themselves as well and it is some pretty embarrassing reading. How anyone can defend a Tory or ‘independent’ mayor is astounding and you obviously haven't done your due diligence on the man. I watched the live feed whilst on holiday and I did laugh when he said he would “probably vote Labour”.

@sherlock1969 you and a few others have some really interesting ideas, it’s people like you we need to look after our children in need and vulnerable people, it comforts me to know there are a lot of good people in the world who still care.
