Wilder tried to get him in, but he went abroad for the season
 
I wouldn’t mind us signing him on a Duncan Watmore type initial three month deal and see how it goes. That could work for both parties as if he does well it may be an opportunity to get back in the EPL in January, similarly we aren’t over committing, as I imagine he’ll be a big earner for us.

Seems to have lost his way in the last few seasons at Goodison, but then who wouldn’t!

Ampadu? Got a year left on his contract apparently. Is he actually any good? Rated highly as a youngster but doesn't seemed to have done much since.

He's not going to come to a Championship club on a short term deal! There will be plenty of suitors in the prem and abroad. Reading the Everton forum a few months back, some seemed to suggest he was given more stick because he was a local lad, similar to Anthony Gordon. A strange phenomenon that happens at all clubs, ours included.

Davies is a solid CM , an upgrade on Howson due to age , ex England youth , lost in the Everton big club sindrome , him , Branthwaite, Simms , Gordon , should have been their future , but they chased big money players .
I would love to see Davies in a Boro shirt alongside Hackney .

Don't be a spoil sport. This is how the transfer window works. We pick a semi realistic potential signing, come up with reasons he would sign for us by finding links to the club(his great grandad once had a lemon top down Redcar after the races so he must be a secret Boro fan type of link). He then signs for another club and we all say
"if only he had signed for us eh! He could of been the new *insert player name who did well in the past* and we would of smashed the league, oh well typical Boro we need to move be on quick and sign *insert semi realistic signing name* instead, he would definitely sign for us because...". 🤣

I wouldn't see Davies as an upgrade on Howson even based on age, even 3 years from now.
Why on earth is there noise about this lad?
