Trans people in single sex sports

Where do you stand with this? Talks of the commonwealth games letting trans men and women compete in their relevant sport, do we create another two categories for trans men and women? I personally don't think it's fair because of the potential advantages it could give to the competitor.

Sport has always had specific sex classification not gender classifications.

Putting women and men in some sports together would be not only unfair but dangerous. Who wants to see men beating up women in boxing? Men tackling women in rugby? On and on this goes.
Or if you knew Mrs WG, women beating men at boxing. She'd pulverise them all ;)

If there was no biological benefit between genders.. there would only be sport..
As we all know the difference from early teens.. trans men to women sport should not happen..

Trans women to men.. fill your boots, off top of my head I just can't see any sports where they'd have an unfair advantage..

Ever seen videos of trans women competing in women's MMA? You don't want to.

Yes and the females get battered by the trans women. No surpriseds.

Seen the videos of girls playing v boys in American football? Beyond dangerous. Any parent putting thier kids into that should be prosecuted.

Male and female sports has to be kept seperate by biology. That keeps sport fair and safe.

What about sports such as golf? They let women and men compete in darts I think that's probably the only sport I've seen do it.

What a convenient diversion.
Why not bring up "cancel culture"
or "statues"
or "taking the knee"
or "woke"
or "gammon"
or "lefties"
or "freedom of speech"
or "PC gone mad"?
or "illegal immigrants"
or "asylum seekers" ?

Whats it - but a diversion from facing up to the economic crisis and the problems families face right now.

Doesn’t natural genetics give people and advantage anyway. I don’t really see the issue.

They have to change their body dramatically anyway to be able to compete and people aren’t looking to abuse the system to win sports

I agree with all your points, I was just putting another alternative to the OPs post.

For the record I’m not fond of the idea of trans women competing in women’s sport.

I see what you're saying Gaz but if you watch the MMA like what medieta was talking about she had to have a lot done to her body but still had a huge advantage. I see it for all non contact sports apart from strength sports.

Running, throwing, jumping, lifting. Endurance, sprints, dynamic power
Trans women all have a massive advantage over natural women

It's something that's talked about far too much, and worried about far too much. The USA have passed an astonishing amount of legislation aimed at stopping transgender people competing in women's sports despite the fact there has never been any real history of anybody wanting to do so at any reasonable level.
