Can anybody help?

A few years back, the BBC did a fantastic multi part drama series about the forming of the Israeli state. It was a drama that followed the creation the of state, armed operations and stories of sabotage through that period, initially fighting against the British and then future wars with the USA as an ally.

It looked very similar to the recent SAS Rouge Heroes in its production but was also similar to band of brothers.

Can anybody remember what it was called?

Thanks mate, but it wasn't a documentary. It was a drama series based on a true story a bit like Band of Brothers or SAS Rouge hero's.

Certainly the right kind of feel but I was certain that it was only created within the past 5 years and that's from 12 years ago

My first thought was "The Promise". I recall it being very good indeed.

I think this is the one actually. Devastated to hear it was 12 years ago mind
