Who's on your list of 'must see' acts???

Saturday is fast-approaching and it's going to be an emotional start to what is effectively the most important Twisterella to date when Dressed Like Wolves kick off this year's festival with a ceremonial passing of the baton from the Westgarth SC on to Cafe Etch. Rick is on stage at 1pm.

Wristband exchange opens at midday at Teesside University SU (first floor) on Southfield Road.

Also, a massive shout out to the Twisterella (Un)conference which takes place at the Town Hall on the morning of Twisterella. This is our way of supporting new and emerging local and regional talent in the most practical way we can. Full details here: https://twisterella.co.uk/unconference/

At the time of writing there's fewer than 200 tickets left (even though the graphic says 250!) and we'd love to see us sell out in advance. In other line up news, the excellent Lost Romance replace Heir on the University Hub stage.

Come on Boro.

Just getting into playing the tracks. Will post playlist for each stage as I complete the. Are Reignmaker still playing. According to their Spotify page the are playing Live at Leeds In The City on Saturday.

Quite a few of the LAL line up have previously played Twisterella or other shows in our immediate region.

I won't make this year's event, but I'll put up a recommendation for Derry's Cherym and Leeds (and Boro)'s Venus Grrrls, both of whom I've seen and am going to see again. Good to see the Venus Grrrls' singer coming back to strength.

I'm having a year where I am just going to be nicely surprised. Although The Joy Hotel are my one must see and I intend finishing with Venus Grrrls, then hopping on an overnight bus to London.

So far but changing all the time and I haven't looked at clashes. That's my next job. This is my picks

Suds
Cherym
Melin Mylin
The Joy Hotel.....................band of the day so far
Opus Kink

Avalanche party is one of the clashes I have noted.

I'm definitely ending with The Joy Hotel & Opus Kink but I've not listened to all the bands I don't know yet. I may not bother and just decide on the spin of a coin!
