UK - Australia Trade Deals - Global Warming.

Watched a smiling Boris and Scott Morrison on the ABC news last night celebrating these new deals.

Several minutes later a minister of the same government was informing us all here in Oz about how " On Top " of the situation
on Global Warming we were and our new plans and targets.

I felt somewhat bemused as it sounds contradictory to me.

It seems that due to Brexit and Australias backing of Donald Trumps criticism of China regarding the outbreak of Covid, we both now
find ourselves in a situation where we are desperately seeking trading partners further afield and are going to be shipping goods twelve thousand miles instead of to our closest neighbours.

Yet here they were, insulting our intelligence by telling us how keen they were to reduce emissions.

You just gotta laugh don't you? or am I missing something ?

It all reminds me of when that great Australian retailer Bunnings came over here a couple of years ago with a swagger to tell us how DIY retail should be done.

A year later having failed to sell us BBQ sets in Winter they closed down and scarpered back down under with their tails between their legs.

The sight of that asshole ScoMo with Johnson backslapping each other was as nauseous as it gets.
 
Scott Morrison and climate change measures hardly fit. As this picture amply demonstrates. While Australian fires in the bush were out of control Morrison brought a lump of coal into Parliament. Global warming? What global warming.7145F01B-714B-4CFB-B932-32E0B065BAB4.jpeg
 
The aussies are playing a dangerous game their ecosystem will be hit first and hardest with climate change if its not already yet they continue to burn fosil fuel like a chain smoker. Its an utterly ridiculous situation only 2% of their energy comes from the renewable sector. Whilst the world castigates China for emissions we are making trade deals with the dirty aussies. It stinks
