UK Longest Tunnel

I heard the about the water needed for Teesside industry at the time, never realised it was huge tunnel and not 88 inch pipes.

Worth a quick flick through.

It's still used as compensation water for both the Tees & the Wear during very low flows. However, it's very expensive to run.

I regularly fish there and have seen it running a few times.

Eggleston, just below the bridge. The hut in the video is the fishing hut before it had some work done on it. There's a nice walk down the by river, but you can only go about a mile. The Teesdale way is on the other bank.
